About Paloma Suarez Kaznecki

 

Paloma Suarez Kaznecki is a Florida licensed and American Speech and Language Association (ASHA) clinically certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She is bilingual and provides speech and language therapy in English and Spanish.  Paloma has over 11 years of experience treating the pediatric population in South Florida. She obtained her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Advertising from the University of Florida in 2006. After working in the advertising corporate industry for several years, Paloma realized that her career path was not what she had intended it to be and decided to follow her passion and pursue a career involving her love of children and ability to give back to the community. While working toward her Master’s degree, she began her career in 2009 as a Speech Therapy Assistant working in the private practice setting.

She graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Master’s of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2011.

Paloma’s clinical experience involves hospital-based inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services for pediatric and adult patients, pediatric therapy in a private clinic setting, home health, preschool screenings, evaluations and treatment, as well as speech and language services to elementary, middle and high school students in Broward County Schools. She has also served as a speech pathologist in the Autism and Intellectually Disabled Clusters of the Broward County School System. Paloma is a PROMPT (Prompt for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) trained therapist and has experience working with clients with following diagnoses: Alternative and Augmentative Communication, Apraxia, Aphasia, Articulation Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorder, Autism, Auditory Processing Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Dysarthria, Dysphagia (Swallowing Disorders), Down Syndrome, Feeding Therapy, Fluency Disorders (Stuttering Disorders), Language Delay, Learning disabilities, Lisps/Tongue thrust, Phonological Disorders, Reverse Swallow, Social Pragmatic Disorders, Specific Language Impairment, Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury and Voice Disorders.

Paloma is dedicated to working closely with families and partnering with professionals in other disciplines to work as a team. She provides individualized evidence-based interventions with a personal touch.
